Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for significant project/program leadership with matrix team responsibility for program delivery, budget, quality, customer satisfaction and resulting product vitality. This includes responsibility for active coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation input etc.
2. Work closely with Marketing, Operations and Business Leaders in developing and continually refining product and process based growth strategy.
3. Develop and lead project teams toward delivery of process and product development programs targeted to exceed stakeholder and customer expectations.
4. Partner with cross-functional leaders globally to lead improvement in business growth processes to deliver gains in business performance resulting from R&D investments.
5. Engage and lead the global cross functional team aiding in the robust commercialization of innovative solutions and product technologies.
6. Effectively promote cross functional engagement in R&D processes by maximizing on-time delivery, product/process quality and business financial performance.
7. Demonstrate and develop strong analytical and statistical process design skills and leading risk reduction through the conceptual design, development and commercialization stages of R&D.
8. Lead the development and execution of technology platforms by driving future capability needs supporting long-term product line strategies and future business growth.

Job Requirements:
1. PhD with relevant experience in the field of Chemistry, Material Science, Applied Science, Chemical/Material Engineering or appropriate comparable disciplines
2. Minimum 10 years experience in an industrial R&D environment 
3. Exhibit best in class project management and influencing skills.
4. Highly self motivated, internally driven individual with a passion for innovation and thirst to lead change
5. Excellent communication skills in English with proficiency in Mandarin is preferred
6. Track record in challenging the status quo through the demonstration of boundary-less behavior.
7. Aptitude to adapt and learn quickly in changing environments with strong project management skills is desirable.
8. Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills that fosters collaborative research within a team environment
